Music Scholarships

Merit-based scholarships are determined yearly by application/resume, teacher recommendations, as well as a review of each student’s progress throughout the year. 

Participation in extra-curricular music activities, festivals and recitals, as well as a demonstrated commitment to lessons and learning are required.

MUSIC GO-GETTER'S AWARD in Memory of Dianne Boucher

“The Music Go-Getter’s Award” is given in memory of the very full and exciting life of Dianne Boucher, PTAs co-owner until January 2010.

Students are asked to submit a “resume” detailing all of the musical activities, both in and outside of the school. In addition, they are encouraged to also list other activities they do in their life showing that they are a true “Go-Getter”!

Two winners will receive a scholarship in the amount of $250.00 each, in addition to a plaque, and their names listed on the large memorial plaque that will be placed in the school.

PTA MUSIC MUSICIANSHIP AWARD in Memory of Michael Sinclair

Michael Sinclair taught at PTA School of Music up until April 2008 when his sudden death shocked and stunned everyone who knew him. He was an absolutely brilliant teacher of piano, drums and guitar. His students loved him and hisco-workers adored him.

In memory of Michael Sinclair we initiated an annual scholarship award in the amount of $500 to two students ($250 each) who demonstrate an overwhelming passion for music and dedication to their studies.
